A three room offer is only useful once you know what the company counts as a room. Measure the areas you want cleaned, add any hallway or stairs and ask for the complete price. The deals below have different limits, so the lowest headline price may not cover your job.

How big is one room?
A bedroom and a large open living space may not count the same way. Write down the length and width of each carpeted area and ask the cleaner how it will be counted. Mention adjoining spaces, closets and landings instead of assuming they are included.
For example, three rooms of 180 square feet each total 540 square feet. That is larger than a deal capped at 450 square feet, even though both involve three rooms. Ask for the price of the actual area before comparing offers.
Ask about these extras
- Hallways, stairs, closets and rooms above the size allowance.
- Moving furniture and any pieces the team cannot move.
- Pet treatment, difficult stains, deodorizing and carpet protector.
- Parking, upper floor access or equipment that the job needs.
- Taxes, payment fees and the minimum visit charge.
Give each company the same list. A price for open floor areas is a different quote from one that includes moving a sofa and cleaning underneath it.
A message you can use for a quote
“I need three carpeted rooms cleaned. They measure [sizes], and there is also [a hallway or stairs]. The home is [occupied or empty]. Please include [the stains or furniture I need help with]. What is the full price, which tasks are included and could the price change after inspection?”
Replace the brackets with your details. Ask the company to explain any change before the work starts. Keep the accepted quote so you can compare it with the final bill.
Check the booking terms too
A deposit, cancellation rule or arrival window can matter as much as a small price difference. Ask when payment is due, whether a deposit comes off the total and how much notice is needed if your plans change.
