Greensboro carpet cleaning

Getting help with pet stains and odors

Ask what the treatment covers, what costs extra and what results to expect.

Tell the cleaner about the stain and the smell when you ask for a quote. Ordinary carpet cleaning, deodorizing and pet urine treatment may be separate services. Ask what the proposed treatment covers, what it costs and what happens if the odor is still there afterward.

Describe the problem before asking for a price

Say which rooms are affected, whether the accidents happened once or repeatedly and what you have already used on the carpet. Mention whether you can see a mark, notice an odor or both.

You do not need to diagnose the cause yourself. Ask the company how it will inspect the area and whether that inspection could change the work or the price. Photos can help explain a visible stain, but they cannot show a smell.

Check what each service means

Service named in a quoteQuestion to ask
Standard carpet cleaningDoes this include the pet affected areas, or do they need a separate treatment?
DeodorizingWhat does this product do, and is it the treatment you recommend for this problem?
Pet urine treatmentWhich areas and materials will you treat, and is the price per room, spot or job?
Stain removalWhich marks may remain, and can you explain the likely result before starting?
Follow up visitWhat should I do if the odor returns, and would another visit cost extra?

What the local websites tell us

James Kleen-It ↗ lists pet stain treatment separately and asks customers to call about pet odor pricing. Safe-Dry ↗ advertises a discount on urine removal. Neither tells you the complete cost for every affected carpet.

Chem-Dry ↗ describes a dedicated pet urine service. Zimmerman ↗ also describes work on pet stains and odors. Ask each company what it recommends after hearing about your home; a service name alone is not a promise of complete removal.

Talk about pets, products and access

Agree where your pets will stay while the team works and when they can return to the cleaned room. If you want unscented products or have a particular product concern, request the names and relevant use instructions before the appointment.

Ask about delicate rugs or unusual carpet materials too. A general “pet friendly” description does not answer every question about a particular product, animal or surface.

Get the treatment and total in writing

Ask for the ordinary cleaning price and the proposed treatment price separately. Check whether the quote covers all affected rooms and whether a return visit is included under any stated guarantee.

When you compare Greensboro carpet cleaners, use the same description of the problem for each company. Our price guide covers the room allowances and other extras that may also affect your total.

Questions you might have

Does a carpet cleaning deal include pet treatment?

Do not assume it does. Ask the company to include the recommended treatment in the quote, even if the offer mentions ordinary stain removal.

Can anyone guarantee the smell will disappear?

Ask what the company can reasonably promise after inspecting the carpet and what its written guarantee covers. We have not tested these treatments or verified a result for your home.

Is a money off coupon the treatment price?

No. A discount reduces the price of an eligible service. Ask what the total will be after it is applied.

Should I mention products I have already tried?

Yes. Tell the cleaner what you used and where, so it can take that into account before choosing a treatment.
